The Barbary Macaque is an endangered primate with only 6,000 - 9,000 left in the wild, 80% can be found in the forests of Morroco’s Ifrane National Park.

Their population has declined by over 50% in the past 25 years due to deforestation and the illegal poaching of infants.

In march 2018 the International Forestry and Wildlife Association established the Born To Be Wild program to combat these threats. This short film follows  the team of geneticists and local scouts who have been working tirelessly to protect the barbary macaque and it’s natural habitat.
